Indian Railways invites application for the below post:-

Director (Official Language),Ministry of Railways,Railways Board,New Delhi
Number of Vacancies: 01
Scale of Pay: Rs.14,300 – 18,300 (Pre-revised) Rs.37,400 – 67,000 + G.Pay8,700/- (Revised)
Method of Recruitment: Promotion/Transfer on Deputation.
Eligibility for Deputation:
Officers of the Central Government (including Railways)
(a)(i) holding analogous posts on regular basis; OR
(ii) with 5 years regular service in posts in JAG in the scale of Rs.12,000-16,500/- (per-revised).
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
(i) Master’s Degree of a recognised university or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognised university or equivalent in English with hindi as a subject at the degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognised university or equivalent in any subject with Hindi & English as a subject at the degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognised university or equivalent in any subject with hindi as medium and English as a subject at the degree level.
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognised university or equivalent in any subject with English as medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level.
(ii) 10 year experience of terminological work in Hindi and/or translation work from English to Hindi or vice versa,preferably of technical or scientific literature.
OR
10 years experience of teaching research,writing or journalism in Hindi.
Desirable:
(i) Knowledge of Sanskrit/ or a Modern Indian Language.
(ii) Administrative experience/knowledge of Railways Working.
(iii) The departmental Joint Director with 5 years regular service in the grade of Rs.12,000-16,500/- (pre-revised) failing which with 10 years combined regular service in the grades of Rs.12,000-16,500 and Rs.10,000-15,200/- and possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for deputationists shall also be considered and in case he is selected for appointment to the post,the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.
Period of Deputation: The Period of Deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation/department of the Central Government shall not exceed 5 years.
